Lindsay Woodard was born and raised in McMinnville, as a sixth generation Oregonian. Her experience in the wine business has been deeply rooted. She graduated from Linfield College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Public Speaking. While at Linfield, she launched an internship program between the college and the International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC), an event hailed by the Wine Advocate as “…unquestionably, the finest in the world”.
Upon graduation, Lindsay joined Ponzi Vineyards, where she played an important role as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager. She gained a wealth of experience working with the highly respected Ponzi Family. Five years later, she moved to the Napa Valley to work for the world’s leading wine glass producer, Riedel Crystal of Austria, as their Director of Winery Sales. Her experience and passion for marketing wine prompted her to take the leap and become an entrepreneur. Lindsay Woodard Communications (LWC) was founded in 2004, as a brand development, marketing and design firm. Never forgetting how special and unique Oregon is, she was ultimately driven by a passion to return to her roots and set out to craft a complex and nuanced Pinot Noir that shares the purest expression of her childhood native soil.
Retour has enjoyed exceptional accolades and achieved superior placements with restaurants throughout the nation. The media has placed Retour among the best with recent accolades such as: "One of the most important new labels in Oregon...". Editor-at-Large, Harvey Steiman of the Wine Spectator has declared Retour on "The Cutting Edge: One of The Top Emerging Producers in Oregon", Food & Wine: 2009 Wine Guide named the winery a "Star Producer" and Wine Enthusiast Magazine endorsed Retour as "Editors' Choice ...and an exciting newcomer". In May of 2010, Margrit Mondavi presented Lindsay Woodard with the "Rising Star Award" from the national organization Women for WineSense.

| An initial perfume of English rose petals and fragrant lilacs mingle with complexities of fresh roasted hazelnuts, tilled earth and forest floor. Aeration reveals evocative aromas of Asian spice, anise, local plums, blackberry blossoms and a hint of confection.
The palate leads with just-plucked cherries and raspberries, lush black fruits and tangerine peel. The broad mouthfeel has impressive weight and texture and drapes easily over its eloquent structure. Fine tannins coalesce with underlying minerality, leading to a long and seductive finish. Over time the wine is persistent in its evolution towards greater complexity.
