Long Walk

Established in 2002 on the historic Valley View Orchard in Ashland, Oregon, Long Walk is owned and operated by Kathy and Tim O’Leary. What began as a family effort to build a slower, more intentional life on a working farm has evolved into a thriving organic orchard and a boutique vineyard rooted in care and craftsmanship.

Inspired by their travels and a memorable honeymoon through the wine regions of Southern France, Kathy and Tim planted 11 acres of vines in the mineral-rich soils of the Rogue Valley AVA. With the support of Kathy’s sister, acclaimed local winemaker Linda Donovan, they carefully selected Rhône varietals that thrive in the region’s warm, dry climate—Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Carignane, and Zinfandel—alongside elegant rosés. Each vintage includes both expressive red blends and distinctive single-varietal bottlings that reflect the character of the land and season.

After many years as growers, the O’Learys expanded into bottling their own wines—producing elegant red blends and single-varietal expressions that speak to the story of each vintage. Every bottle is a reflection of the care given to both the vineyard and environment.

Long Walk Vineyard is part of a broader commitment to sustainability on the O’Learys’ land, which has been certified organic since 2002. Recent habitat restoration projects have introduced over 100 native plant species to support pollinators and biodiversity, reinforcing their belief that good wine starts with a healthy, thriving ecosystem. Through each vintage, Long Walk tells a story of connection—to the land, to the vines, and to the life they’ve cultivated here.
