Dusky Goose

Since 2002, Dusky Goose has called the Dundee Hills home. Nestled between the protective rain shadow of Oregon’s Coast Range to the West and the majestic Cascade Range to the East, our Rambouillet Estate Vineyard lies in the cool climate heart of the Willamette Valley, perfectly suited for growing World Class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

John and Linda Carter founded Dusky Goose Winery in 2002—the very same year as our own Winemaker’s Studio.  The Carters find themselves deeply connected to Oregon’s landscape, due in no small part to Linda’s familial ties to Eastern Oregon’s sheep-ranching.  Drawing on this connection, the Carters sought out prime vineyard land in the famed Dundee Hills.

Seeking to produce wines of quality above all else, yields and production are low.  The vineyards are managed by the incredibly talented Andy Humphrey, with over 35 years of experience in the Willamette Valley.  The vines are planted densely on South-facing slopes, providing fruit with superb character and age ability.  Crafted by the renowned Lynn Penner-Ash, Dusky Goose wines have cultivated a devoted following in Oregon and across the globe.
